Environmental Management Systems

AARCHER helps its clients implement Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) by working to support and facilitate the EMS development process, and to document the results.

Our Environmental Management staff understand that sustainable management systems must take full advantage of existing infrastructure, take root only as fast as the organization can accomplish, and add actual value. Our experience tells us that off-the-shelf, pre-packaged EMSs rarely survive. We are actively implementing customized systems for Federal agency headquarters, state-wide organization and individual facilities, and working to involve client staff and management in the process.

We are experienced in supporting the implementation of ISO 14000-based systems and "compliance-focused" EMSs.

Our methods for teaching EMS concepts and implementation considerations to client employees continue to evolve and change with each new EMS client. Because EMS components are often included in environmental compliance facility auditing programs, our auditing staff has been cross-trained in EMS by completing RAB/QSA-certified lead auditor training.
